New Contests Coming Soon
Ok after some brainstorming we have 2 new contests to start shortly that will benefit you designers greatly.
The first contest is going to start out quarterly but then become a monthly contest. We are going to have on the category pages of the website flash banners and also one on the home page. This banner will be similar to the Web Templates Designersкомпютри втора употреба page. And so the contest will be to design a banner for each category. So whats the prize? That banner will directly link to your featured work. And featured work will get more sales because of their position on the site. The best banner out of all the banner submissions will go on the home page and which will get even more views (obviously). I am still working out the details on handling this, but I will be posting a follow up here on the Doctyped Blog.
The second contest has to do with our blog. If you notice that our blog is pretty plain, and uses the default template that comes with Wordpress. So our contest is this; Design a template for our blog and the winner will be featured on the front page of the site for a certain amount of time (I’m thinking possibly 3 months). And the winners template will also be put up for sale, and for the period of time that the designer is featured from the win, they will also get 100% of the sale of that template. All contest submissions will be put up for sale on the site, I might give 2nd and 3rd place something too.
As you can see we are still working out details
of these contests, but I would like to hear your thoughts on them. Tell us what you think or give us some new ideas?
